What is pinit.lol?

A world map you can pin products to. You pick any country (strategically, as a map position, not as a verified location), add a product, website, or social media profile with a category, and pay the required stake to enter that country’s 24-hour ranking at #1. A higher stake can outrank you at any time. When your 24 hours end, nothing is deleted: your product keeps its permanent page and every placement stays discoverable in the Hall of Fame forever.

Do I have to pick my real location?

No. You can pick any country on the map. Where you or your product are physically located is irrelevant, and nothing is ever verified. Choosing strategically is the point: your home market for the story, a quiet unclaimed country for a cheap entry, or a contested one for the challenge. No physical presence and no address are ever required.

Will people in the country I pick see my ad?

No. pinit.lol is not geo-targeted advertising. Choosing Turkey does not show your product to visitors located in Turkey; it plants your product on Turkey’s public board. Discovery works through the site itself: the interactive world map on the homepage, each country’s own page, the Hall of Fame and its country and category indexes, every placement’s own permanent page, and your profile page. All of those surfaces are public and crawlable, visited by people from anywhere.

What does it cost?

The required stake, which depends on the country you pick: the current leader’s stake plus a fixed increment, or just the starting stake in a country with no active leader. Every new placement therefore enters at #1 the moment it is confirmed. You may stake more than required; that raises what the next challenger has to pay. The live amounts are always shown on the rules page and on every country’s own page before you pay, and during the launch campaign an eligible product may pay less (see the launch promotion question below).

Can I be outbid?

Yes, at any time. Ranks are ordered by stake amount, highest first, and a new placement must stake more than the current leader, so every new claim enters at #1 and pushes everyone else down for the rest of their windows. Your placement itself is never cancelled by being outranked: you keep your slot and your full 24-hour window, at whatever rank your stake currently earns. If two placements ever carry the exact same amount, the earlier-confirmed one keeps the higher rank.

What happens after 24 hours?

Your placement leaves the live board. The leaderboard query itself stops counting it, automatically. It is not deleted, ever: it becomes a permanent Hall of Fame record, with its real stake, its rank, and its active window, at its own permanent URL under /hall-of-fame/placements/ that keeps resolving forever.

Does my product get a permanent page?

Yes. Two kinds. Every product gets one public profile page at /p/<slug> with its full placement history, and that page stays up permanently. Separately, every individual placement keeps its own permanent record page under /hall-of-fame/placements/, which keeps resolving forever after its 24 hours on the live board end. Neither is ever deleted; moderation can remove a listing from live boards and from search promotion, but the records remain.

Can I add a social media profile?

Yes. The claim flow accepts a product or website URL, or a social media profile. A social profile is treated exactly like a product: it needs a category, pays the same required stake, competes in the same 24-hour ranking, and keeps the same permanent profile page and placement records.

How are categories selected?

You select the category yourself when you submit, from a fixed list. It is required, and free-text categories are not accepted. The category determines where your product appears in the Hall of Fame’s category indexes. Moderation can correct a clearly wrong category after the fact.

Are external links permanent?

Placement records and profile pages link to your submitted URL with a direct, crawlable link. Those links stay on your permanent record pages indefinitely, but they are not unconditional: moderation can remove links that break the rules (illegal content, malware, deceptive destinations), while the payment and placement records themselves remain. pinit.lol sells promotional placements and the referral traffic they can earn, never search-engine ranking outcomes; the moderation policy is on the rules page.

What is the launch promotion?

pinit.lol launches with a campaign in three one-way phases. First, bootstrap: the first 100 eligible country starts can place for free, a $0 placement marked “Launch-sponsored”, with no payment. One free start per country, one promotion per product URL, and one free launch placement per network. Paid placements during bootstrap can still receive up to $1 credit on a URL that has never been promoted; the credit reduces cash due, not the recorded stake, and cash never drops below $1. Second, launch credit: for 10 days after the free spots are claimed, new URLs still get a one-time credit of up to $1; no new $0 grants. Third, standard pricing with no promotions. Which phase, if any, is active right now is computed from live server state. The claim flow always shows exactly what you would pay before checkout.

What does a free placement mean?

A free placement is a real placement with a $0 stake, granted during the launch campaign’s bootstrap phase to the first product that starts a never-claimed country. No payment happens, and the placement is labeled “Launch-sponsored”. It competes like any other: it holds the country’s board, runs for 24 hours, can be outbid at any time (outbidding a $0 leader costs just the standard increment), and it keeps its permanent placement record and Hall of Fame entry forever. It is limited to one per country, one per product URL, and one free launch placement per network, with 100 available in total. A second product from the same network is not blocked; it continues as a paid placement and may still receive launch credit if the URL is new.

Is this gambling?

No. Paying on pinit.lol buys a fixed, disclosed product: a 24-hour promotional placement on one country’s leaderboard, like buying a billboard slot or a sponsored listing. There is no random outcome, no house edge, and nothing won or lost by chance. The rank you get is determined entirely by the amount you choose to pay, under rules stated up front.

Can I get a refund? What about moderation?

A placement is not refunded simply because it was later outranked. That is the ordinary, disclosed outcome of a public leaderboard. Refunds are processed at our discretion, most commonly for duplicate or clearly mistaken payments. Placements that break the rules (illegal content, malware, deceptive links) can be removed from the live board without a refund. The full refund and moderation policies are on the rules page.

What is the Hall of Fame?

The permanent record of everything that ever happened on pinit.lol. Live boards reset as placements expire, but every confirmed placement is kept forever, browsable by country, by category, and as individual placement records, alongside all-time leaderboards for most Champion titles, most countries claimed, highest single stake, most clicks, and most placements. History is never deleted.

What are Champion and Contender titles?

A profile earns a Champion title every time it becomes a country’s #1, and a Contender title every time it becomes a country’s #2. Titles are historical and cumulative. Losing a spot never removes a title already earned, and re-taking the same country later earns another one. A profile’s full title history is public on its own page.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts, logins, or subscriptions on pinit.lol. You submit a product URL or social profile, pick a country and a stake, and pay. That is all the site asks of you. A paid placement only ever goes live through the payment provider’s signature-verified webhook; returning from checkout by itself never activates anything. A launch-campaign free placement is the one exception that activates without payment, under its own server-side eligibility checks.
